Our History 
Hostaria Uva Rara combines the experience of Daniela and the passion of her husband Ennio, the owners, in the catering business, together with the professionalism of their son Alessandro in reception and service.
Daniela belongs to a family of caterers originally from Emilia, managers of restaurants all over Italy in their long professional life. They transmitted their knowledge to their daughter and she, from an early age, helped in their trattoria in Franciacorta. Later she transmitted her passion and love for the culinary art to her husband Ennio.
Hostaria Uva Rara became theirs in 1998 when they bought a XV-century farmhouse in Monticelli Brusati. Years of work were necessary to restructure and renovate the premises before completing the works.
Finally, in January 2001, their dream came true and they inaugurated Hostaria Uva Rara, a fascinating restaurant, welcoming and elegant, where you can enjoy traditional cuisine, thanks to the special care taken in the search for selected raw materials, especially locally in the Brescia district, but without neglecting the fantastic products of other Italian regions.
In March 2002 Daniela obtained her diploma as an A.I.S professional sommelier. Her passionate interest in wine was certainly inherited from her father Mario. After work, he usually joined his family for a meal and, while opening a bottle of good wine, he described its characteristics and the best accompaniments for the dishes prepared by Mamma Franca.
Alessandro, one of Ennio's and Daniela’s sons, has also inherited this love for the restaurant business and spent two years in London to deepen his knowledge. In the British capital he worked with some of the best Italian restaurants and was put in charge of the wine lists while perfecting his skills in reception and service.
In our staff Daniela and Alessandro look after the restaurant and the wine cellar while Ennio is busy in the kitchen. vino le è stata sicuramente trasmessa dal padre Mario che, dopo il lavoro, era solito riunirsi per il pranzo con la famiglia e mentre apriva una bottiglia di buon vino ne descriveva le caratteristiche ed i migliori abbinamenti con le pietanze preparate da mamma Franca.
Anche Alessandro, uno dei figli di Ennio e Daniela, si è appassionato all’attività di ristorazione e decide di approfondire la propria conoscenza trascorrendo due anni a Londra. Qui ha lavorato per alcuni tra i migliori ristoranti italiani diventando responsabile ed esecutore della carta vini ed affinando la tecnica del ricevimento e del servizio.
Nel nostro staff Daniela e il figlio Alessandro si occupano della sala e della cantina mentre Ennio si occupa della cucina.
